What's everyone doing travel wise for the exams? Coming from Wales and looking for the best ways to go about it without risking accidentally ending up completely the opposite end of England ๐
What time are those travelling from London getting the train? My Kingโs Cross train is at 14:24. Unfortunately I have to do a pm session at work before travelling up ๐
Youโll have to search on trainline. Mine is booked from Oxford that goes through London so probably more expensive. Definitely get a railcard if you donโt have one. It saves quite a lot on trains especially if you plan to get them for every exam
Hey guys! I'm travelling up from London and staying at the suggested hotel in Thornaby. I was planning on getting a cab on the morning if anyone wanted to share ๐
I'm driving up from Suffolk to be master of my own destiny ๐ - just booked the premier Inn in teesside right by the river (+ I'm happy to scoop folks up on the morning of the exam)!
They will but I can't afford to spend ยฃ200-300 on trains and accommodation in the first place, as I'll have to wait probably a month for the re-inbursement...but I'll find a way!
Coming up from London, donโt no whether to drive or get a train! Equally long I feel. Everyone gonna try and book the premier inn? Can grab a beer to settle the nerves ๐
Iโm in Eastleigh, so flying from Southampton Airport to Newcastle the day before. I think itโs 2 buses to the premier inn Stockton on Tees thatโs been recommended.
Thinking of getting a taxi to the hospital on exam day, to make things a little less stressful.
Hoping maybe others will be flying up too, as Iโm rubbish with public transport arrangements lol ๐
Me too! I was tempted to drive it, but itโs 5 hours without my โoops wrong turnโ moments so thought it might be better to get lost on public transport instead ๐
If itโs the same premier inn (TS17 6QB) I think itโs 3 buses from Newcastle airport with a bit of walking but can check again closer to the date. Definitely sounds like a plan โฆ. Two navs have got to be better than one ๐
Weโre coming from Devon (!!) and the easiest way looks for us to get the train. If we flew, weโd still need to travel about an hour to the exam. There are a couple of recommendations on the website for train stations and hotel.

I havnt got my timetable with me and booking the room, exam is 30th March right?
Iโll be travelling from north of Scotland the day before and staying at the premier inn that was on the website๐ gonna be a long journey๐

Long train journey from Brighton, I'm honestly debating taking the coach as it's cheaper...but double the journey time!
There's two Premier Inns near the hospital... Which one are people planning on staying at?
Flights wise we can take either fairly early morning or super late evening on the 29th ๐ต are most people who are flying taking the morning flight?

I have looked at trains but think it will be quicker for me to drive up from the midlands !
Amber and I are at the same trust and doing to course together, so itโs nice to have a travel buddy!! Weโll just be getting taxis around, too.
Travelling from the isle of man, going a day before and leave the day after,
just in case flights or boats cancelled.

Iโm taking a 5 hour train journey from Oxford ๐
